Just wondering if there is any new information regarding King Crimson in surround? I'm still hoping for ITCOTCK in some form of surround as was seen in Rolling Stone.

I was under the impression that the were still searching for the original master tapes for side 2 to be found.
Any updates on that?
IMO, one needs the exact original mix in 2 channel before adventuring off into a 5.1 mix. And if it's high res,you need both master tapes.
Another Q: Do they have the multi tracks to make a good surround mix? Sorta essential, I think...

I've posted on this before, and I will try and get an update, but basically the situation is that for the first time the stereo masters have been found (I've seen them!).
An SACD should appear towards the end of the year, but the latest I heard was that MC was highly unlikeley due to the nature of the recording - I'll see if the position has changed over the last 3 months or so.
